Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd June (10am – 5pm) – MEDIEVAL MAYHEM! Join knights and their horses at Lincoln Castle as they battle for supremacy in a medieval tournament.

Friday 28th to Sunday 30th June (11am to 10:00pm) – CHOW DOWN FESTIVAL. A summer weekender of independent street food, drinks, music and family-friendly activities in the grounds of historic Lincoln Castle.

Saturday 6th July (6pm) – MAGIC OF MOWTOWN CONCERT: UNDER THE STARS. Back-to-back classic Mowtown hits, glittering costumes and dazzling dance moves feature in this explosive concert experience.

Saturday 6th July (11am – 4pm) – BAILGATE BUSKING FESTIVAL. Lincoln’s Cathedral Quarter reverberates with the sound of local talent for a festival of acoustic music. Enjoy the sights and sounds as a range of buskers create a backdrop in Lincoln’s historic Cathedral Quarter. 

Wednesday 10TH JULY (6.30PM – 8.30PM) – TWILIGHT CASTLE: FALCONRY. Meet Lincoln Castle’s master falconer and watch him fly his birds of prey in this exclusive evening experience. Each ticket includes a free hot drink and a choice of cake from the café.  The wall walk will be open throughout the evening and the friends of Lincoln Castle guides will be on hand to impart their knowledge of Lincoln’s medieval castle. Booking is essential

Saturday 13th July (10am to 5pm) – SCOOT TO THE WATERFRONT. Scooters from across the country will arrive on the Brayford Waterfront for a day of custom shows, a ride out, and live music. FREE

Saturday 20th July (Noon to 4pm) – DRAGON BOAT RACE. More than 100 people take to the Brayford for a summer’s day of spectacular Dragon Boat races to raise money for charity. FREE

Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th August (10am – 5pm) – GRAND MEDIEVAL JOUST. Watch brave knights take part in the sport of kings at Lincoln Castle.

Saturday 24th to Monday 26th August (All day) – LINCOLN STEAMPUNK FESTIVAL. See Lincoln transformed as the biggest and longest running Steampunk festival on Earth returns to the city for the 11th year.The annual event celebrates a steam powered world in the late 19th century and attracts visitors from all over the world.  Over the August Bank Holiday weekend, the biggest Steampunk festival in the world will arrive in Lincoln, hosting a full convention-style day programme with a fringe style programme of art, literature, music, fashion, comedy and simple good fun. FREE

Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th December (All Day) – LINCOLN CHRISTMAS MARKET 2019. Stalls, performers, and festive cheer take over Lincoln’s Cathedral Quarter for four days of festive entertainment, shopping, and food and drink. FREE

Saturday 14th to Sunday 22nd December (TBA) – LINCOLN CASTLE CHRISTMAS EMPORIUM. Eight evenings of Christmas delights within the medieval walls of Lincoln Castle for a festive celebration of arts, crafts, and food – the perfect setting to kick start the Christmas period.

Lincoln Makers’ Market (Saturdays 10am – 5pm) Castle Hill. June 1st, 8th & 15th; July 6th, 13th & 20th; August 3rd & 17th; September 7th, 14th & 21st. Showcasing a range of traditional and contemporary arts and crafts, the makers’ markets are a great place for you to browse and buy affordable artwork and crafts from local professionals and emerging artists. There are stalls filled with original paintings, limited edition prints, hand crafted ceramics, glass art, textiles and much more, there is something for everyone. FREE

Lincoln Antiques’ Market (Sundays 10am – 5pm) Castle Hill. June 23rd; July 14th; August 18th;September 8th. Browse and buy antiques, art and collectables in the stunning cobbled square in the heart of Lincoln’s Cathedral Quarter. The market features antique furniture dealers, antique silver dealers, pottery & porcelain, Asian art, fine art, modern collectables, toys & die-cast, retro, vintage and much more – with over forty stalls to browse. FREE
